Basil received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology from Chicago State University in 2002. As a former NCAA Division 1 basketball player, Basil knew that he wanted to work as a personal trainer. After graduation he started out working for Bally Total fitness. While there he quickly became one of the top 20 personal trainers in the corporation by his third month. Basil was invited by WGN and NBC to do the fitness segments for the New Year resolution workouts. In 2007 Basil wanted to work with professional athletes, So he founded Elite Sports. Elite Sports focuses on skill development as well as strength and conditioning.
Overall basketball goals are set, and then each area is addressed specifically to allow players to reach these goals. The multi level training system that Basil has created has helped the likes of DJ White, Charles Rhodes, Mike Conley Jr, Dar Tucker, Mac Koshwal and Tom Kopko will be applied to produce players of all age levels who understand exactly what it takes to play exceptional basketball.
The staff of Elite Sports focuses on the individual player’s weaknesses both on and off the court to create a training environment that pushes each player to maximize his or her abilities.
