Arnie Jacobs’s career in sports began when he was still an undergraduate student at Arizona State. At age 19, Arnie quickly gained the reputation as the “Super Recruiter”. He recruited several top basketball players from his native New York City to attend ASU and Scottsdale Community Colleges in Arizona. “AJ” as he was quickly called, also was an announcer for ASU, calling many of their big games and even formed his own famous cheering section known as “Arnie’s Army”.
